Mission to Mars
In year five, our first topic was Mission to Mars. We made a Martian scarecrow filled with paper, and learnt about Mars One. We designed our own space rover and wrote an email to Mars One. We also learnt about the conditions on Mars. If you don’t know what and who Mars One is then I suggest you keep on reading.

Mars One is a company that is trying to colonize Mars. Mars One is going to send two people every 4 years to Mars. They are using existing technology to colonize the red planet. There will only be a one way trip. There’s no coming back. No regrets. They are intending to be on Mars by 2026 but they have to stay in the shuttle for a year so they will take off by 2025.They will be extra careful since there are asteroids meteors ahead. When they enter Mars’s atmosphere, the gravity will half push them down and the other half will pull them up it will muddle up the engines mechanics. The throttle ( speed indicator) will dive them down towards terrain and that might destroy the fin and elevators (they are what move the spacecraft up and down) but still the astronauts will still have parachutes and eventually they will land safely and that is how they can’t come back. It will only take 24 brave, extra ordinary citizens to colonize Mars they have enough food and water for a year that will be enough to colonize the burning red planet; but the reason we are trying to colonize Mars because scientists believe that the earth is slowly fading away.
Can they do it? Those 24 citizens are our only hope for life, they are going to have to risk their lives by helping us.
